Pay scale increase / Retail Price
Process of Review Pay scale is determined by the retail price we are charging for the full service virtual tour package in your area. Photographers, Production Staff and Syndication Staff are all paid based on the package retail price. We believe the ElectroTour program does not compare with any other companies because we offer so much more and include the ElectroPath syndication network, posting to YouTube, custom photo editing and the Virtual Tour sign rider. We must still be priced competitively with other companies in your area. You can request a pay scale / retail price increase for your area by contacting Customer Service. You will need to know the prices of at least 3 other companies in your local area and a link to their website. Customer Service will review the request and consult with the photographers in your area, production staff and the syndication staff before raising the retail price of our package. Raising the price of the package effects everyone's pay scale. If your area receives very little orders you will not want to increase the retail price because it may actually cause less orders to be received. Almost 80% of the retail price is paid to photographers, production, syndication staff , website designers and hosting companies. In areas that other companies are charging more for their packages we can sometimes match them and still retain the same amount of orders. From our experience it takes about 6 to 8 months to build up a client base in new areas. After the client base is built and our customers know the total value of the service we can sometimes raise the price. Doing this early or in a slow market can actually cause orders to decline and company growth slows. Real estate photography is currently the most under priced photography in the business. We want our photographers and staff to make as much money as possible in this market. Keep in mind that you are an independent contractor and you are going to be meeting lots of clients. Market yourself to these clients for other services. If you are a professional photographer make sure to give the customers your business card and let them know you take photos for special events or anything else. If you are an appraiser or home inspector who it taking photos for ElectroTours let your clients know by giving them a business card. Many of our photographers have increased their personal business by simply marketing their other services to the clients in the form of business cards and relationship building. ElectroTours also plans to bring on new services in 2010. Commercial property tours and business photography. Agent or office photos, custom brochure, postcard design, drive by MLS photos and much more. All of these new services will add different packages and expand our market base. These services will directly increase your income earnings with ElectroTours and help you expand your area and client base. Remember that unlike other national companies ElectroTours does not charge the photographers $1,000 to $3,500 to come on board with our program.
