Photos - No Good
Below are some photos that would not be acceptable for this program.
We receive hundreds of photos that we have to delete. These are just a few.
Always do whatever you can to get the best photos. This will save you from having to go back many times.

These are all photos that we have received as demo photos or actual tour orders.
Always use a tripod to avoid having blurry or fuzzy photos. Always turn on all over head lights and back room lights. Close the blinds in most rooms to avoid (white-blow-out). Never have the date and time stamped on the photos.
Always put down toilet seats. Always try to show both the floor and about one inch of ceiling in each shot if possible. Always step into the room just far enough to not get any of the doorway in the photo frame. Always ask the owners to move any cars out of the driveway.

Make sure the toilet seat is put down in all photos. Walk forward just a little bit more so that none of the edges of the doorway or frame  are in the photo. Turn the light on in the room. Room too dark. Always include a small part of the ceiling in each photo if possible. No ceiling was included in this photo. Room too dark

Car in driveway, Street sign in photo. Move just a little bit to the left to cut out the street sign. With a wide lens you should always be able to capture the full kitchen and not have to cut off the cabinets like these two photos.

Move the camera more to the left and not get so much of the wall on the right in the shot. This will allow you to get more of the actual room in the photo. Step out of the room into the hallway and move forward just far enough to not get any of the doorway in the photo. Doing this will allow you to get much more of the room and include a little bit of ceiling in the shot. Step forward just enough to cut off the doorway frame. Try to never show any of the doorway sides or frame in the photos of any room if  possible.

Way too much street in the photo. Move forward and only show a little bit of the street. This will allow you to capture the full house at a closer view. Too much street in the photo. Move forward just enough as to not include the doorway, frame or walls on the side of this photo. This will allow you to capture much more of the room. Never show a time and date on the photos.

Move forward more so that you do not show any of the doorway in the shot. For bathroom shots you can hold the camera up over your head just a little bit and point it down. This will allow you to capture the full bathroom in most cases.  Never show the date or time on the photos.  Too much light coming in the windows. Close this blinds in this case. This will keep you from getting the blown out effect. Good job showing a little bit of the ceiling in this photo. Never show the date or time on the photos. Way too dark. Never show the date or time on the photos.

Always close the front door. We see many photos where the front door is left open. The agents do not like this. Never show the date or time on the photos. Move forward to the left and cut the car out of the photo. Never show a car in front of the home unless it can not be helped.  Stand in front of the car to avoid the car hood from being in the bottom right of the photo.

We would not use a photo like this. The pole is in the middle of the shot. At least one photo must show the complete pool. Stand back far enough to capture the full pool with out cutting the ends off. This photo cuts the pool off. Not every photo will include the full pool. But we need at least one full shot. Step forward more and do not get any of the doorway in the photos. Step into the room or out of the room just far enough to not include any of the door frame.

Never take photos up and down like this. We can not use them. Always take photos in landscape mode. If possible always turn off ceiling fans. Step back just a little bit, hold the camera up over your head and point it down some. This will allow you to capture the full bathroom.

Car in driveway. Always ask owners to move the car. If they can not move the car make sure to put a note on your photo description sheet why the car was not removed. This way we can tell the agent if they call. Move into the room just a little bit more. Agents WILL ask you to go back if you leave the seat up. Always put down the seat.

Another up and down photo. Never take photos up and down like this. We can not use them. Always take photos in Landscape mode. Another up and down photo. Never take photos up and down like this. We can not use them. Always take photos in Landscape mode. Step back right outside of the doorway to this bedroom and take the photo. You will get much more of the room standing in the hallway. Remember to not get any of the doorway in the sides of the photo. Step into the door frame just far enough to cut out the door frame.

Too much sun - not always - but most of the time you can move around to different locations and get a good shot. Stand closer to the home or get down on one knee and take a shot pointing the camera up just a little bit cutting the sun out of the photo. The room is blown out with to much sun light coming in from the sliders. Closing the blinds if possible will prevent this. The room is blown out with too much sun light coming in from the sliders. Closing the blinds if possible will prevent this.

The left side of the home is cut out of the photo. Always make sure the whole house from end to end is in each front photo. The agent was not happy with this photo because the light in the back room was not turned on. Always have all back lighting turned on in the photos. Step forward just a little bit to cut out the wall on the left that is taking up 25% of the photo.

This photo is good. However the photographer did not take a close up of the fireplace. Always take nice framed close photos of fireplaces so we can feature them in the video. Photographer cut off a small section of the garage. Always frame the full house in the photo. Agents WILL ask you to go back if you leave the seat up. Always put down the seat.

More examples coming soon

Step forward just a little bit and cut out the door frame. You will get a larger photo of the kitchen. In this photo the door frame on the left is taking up almost a 3rd of the photo. Ask the agent or owner if they want to show a photo with the name of their child on the wall. We have had many home owners call us back and ask us to remove this kind of photo from online. Take the photo so we will have it if its needed, but ask if its ok to use before we do all the work and have to remove it.
